The museum is closed every Monday. If Monday is a public holiday, the museum will be closed the following day.
The museum is also closed from December 29th to 31st. In addition, the museum is open every day in August, so there are no closing days.
Last admission is 16:30 and the museum closes at 17:00.
It is not necessary if you are visiting the museum as an individual.
Group discounts are available for groups of 20 or more. This must be reserved in advance. Please make a reservation from the group reservation page on our website.

There is free parking (approximately 200 spaces for private cars; from October 1st onwards, group buses will be charged 2,000 yen (tax included) per vehicle).
Advance reservations are not possible. Applications must be made on the day of your visit.

It is located on the 1st floor of the main building. There is no admission fee required. For inquiries regarding products, please contact us by phone.
You can generally see the entire permanent exhibition in about an hour and a half.
Meals are available in outdoor exhibition areas and outdoor rest areas around the museum exits.
Foreign language pamphlets are available in English, and some of the major exhibits have explanatory panels in English.
Photography is generally permitted. However, this is limited to personal recording purposes. Unauthorized photography, video recording, and video distribution for commercial purposes are prohibited.
When taking photos, please be careful not to disturb other customers. Please refrain from using tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, stepladders, etc. out of consideration for other customers.
You can re-enter the museum by presenting your admission ticket or admission sticker from that day at the reception desk.
If you are a holder of a disability certificate and present your certificate, you and your companion will receive half price admission.
Regarding coin lockers, there are 1 yen ones available on the first floor of the main building.
The 6th floor observation deck has been open to the public since October 1st, and until now there have been restrictions on the number of people allowed in and the time of day. However, from December 2nd, visitors will be able to freely view the deck during opening hours. However, on days when high volumes are expected, restrictions on the time and number of people allowed in may be imposed to ensure safety. We ask for your understanding.
Prohibited items, etc.
● The exhibition will be cancelled in the event of rain.
● Parasols and other items that may be blown away are prohibited.
● Monitoring will be carried out to ensure safety and monitor dangerous behavior.
● Please note that wheelchairs and strollers are not permitted on the premises.
● The use of drones is prohibited.
● The use of monopods, tripods, and stepladders is prohibited.
● Photography for commercial purposes is prohibited.
● Live streaming is prohibited.
● Smoking is prohibited.
● When visiting, please be sure to have a supervisor accompany you. Children are not allowed to visit alone.
● Please do not run, climb or lean over fences or handrails to avoid causing inconvenience to other visitors.
● If museum staff deem it dangerous, the exhibition may be cancelled.
Please refrain from bringing pets into the museum, with the exception of guide dogs, hearing dogs, and service dogs. Also, bringing animals into the outdoor exhibits is not permitted.
