Greetings

The Museum of Aeronautical Science is Japan's first comprehensive facility to disseminate aviation thought, and since its opening in August 1989, it has been visited by many people from Japan and abroad.
It is located in Sky Park Shibayama, Shibayama-cho, Sammu-gun, Chiba Prefecture, adjacent to Narita Airport, and has carved out a history along with Narita Airport, Japan's leading aviation hub.

Dynamic views overlooking Narita Airport, exhibits where you can learn while looking at real engines and cockpits, an introduction to Narita Airport including the SDGs, an observation restaurant where you can enjoy meals inspired by in-flight meals, and a close-up view of real aircraft. This is an experiential museum full of things to see, including an outdoor exhibition hall that you can see at the museum.
Enjoy to your heart's content an immersive space for both adults and children while experiencing the charm of aviation and the wonders of science.
We look forward to your visit.

airplane and sky

The aviation museum closest to the blue sky

why do planes fly in the sky
I wonder how it flies
I wonder what's inside
How did it become what it is now?

The technology that made humanity's dream of flying come true
Backed by surprising science

Japan's first aviation science museum located in "Sky Park Shibayama"
Look down on the dynamic scenery of takeoffs and landings on the runway
Learn the history of the pioneers of the sky and envision the future.
We have prepared an entrance for exploring such science.

Aiming for the Pacific Ocean from Narita Airport
A plane took off into the sky
Overhead of the museum surrounded by greenery and nature
High above the blue sky
Today, I will set out on a journey around the world.
